Between work and doctors I haven't had time for working on surveys or pictures. I have over 3500 RAW images waiting to be pp'd!
Here's a health update- I have seen a neuro surgeon and a neurologist and I'm still stuck at square one. My syrinx is causing symptoms but the surgeon doesn't want to operate yet. And neither of them think my back pain is caused by the syrinx. But I honestly think it is. Granted, I've been getting most of my info from the net so who knows how accurate it is. But I do have a syrinx that was caused by trauma and the first symptom(according to Wiki) is pain. Among many other symptoms, which I do have. I must add that in both docs' defense syringomelia is a rare disorder(affecting less than 20,000 adults in the U.S.) so I wouldn't expect them to know much about it. I am seeing a second neurologist and hopefully he'll be more helpful. And if he isn't then the next step is to find a someone who specializes in studying syrinxes. I may have to travel but it would be worth it.
My pain management doc thinks a lot of my back pain is from the Fibromyalgia. I believe that the fibro is causing problems but back pain isn't one of them. At least, not the back pain that I believe to be associated with my syrinx. I'll explain more about that next time.
So anyways, I did my sleep study and I definitely have a sleep apnea. At one point during the night I stopped breathing for 40 seconds. My nurse said that she and all of the other nurses were gathered around my monitor waiting to see if I was going to start breathing again!
So now I wear a CPAP(or CRAP, as I like to call it) to bed every night. It's rubbing against the bridge of my nose and creating a huge painful red mark so I am going to return it tomorrow and get a new one. CPAPs some in a lot of different styles. Here's a pic of me wearing my CRAP
Anyways, all I've done is whine so far and I have more productive things I should be doing. So bye for now. And I'll try to get on here more often. Maybe ppl would actually read my blogs if I kept them updated lol!
